Coffee and donuts are one of the greatest love stories of our time. Sure, you could have one or the other, but if you can indulge in both, isn’t that better? We think it is!
Finding a delicious donut and a great cup of hot coffee at the same location isn’t always easy.
Enter Dunkin Donuts. Although this establishment is lovingly named after a sweet treat, we’re not after that at this moment.
What we’re looking for is amazing hot coffee drinks. Let’s begin, shall we?
A latte without the perfect layer of foam, cannot be called a true latte. Fortunately for us, Dunkin offers a ‘true latte’.
The rich notes of espresso, lacing their way through creamy steamed milk, are accentuated by the fact that Dunkin’s espresso is freshly ground and brewed in-house.
This is a must-try, for sure! By the way, ‘latte’ translates to ‘milk’ in Italian, but the latte as we understand it is derived from ‘Caffe e latte’, which means ‘espresso and milk’. Fun facts!
Looking for that extra caffeine kick without a bitter aftertaste? Good, then Dunkin’s macchiato is the drink for you.
Made with two shots of espresso mixed with rich and creamy milk (or dairy alternative), this drink is a great way to start off your day, or to supply you with a pick-me-up, should your day be not-so-stress free.
Either way, it is a great-tasting hot coffee drink! Hold on. Ever wondered who invented the macchiato? While there is no definitive “aha!” moment, most coffee experts agree that the macchiato was first created in Italy during the 1980s.

To get a coffee that’s not too robust, let them know by asking for a light blend. If you want that with milk and sugar, the key phrase is “light and sweet”. This coffee isn’t too potent and contains extra cream and sugar.
For those of us who have sweet teeth (not a typo, some people have more than just a sweet tooth – nothing wrong with that!), it’s the perfect way to word it, without explaining to the barista that you love sugar.
