What goes into coffee frozen yogurt?

To make frozen coffee, you need yogurt, and then you freeze it. No, really, we’re using Greek yogurt because it has higher amounts of protein and it’s thicker — let’s just say it makes a better frozen treat.

We’re also using espresso and you want to use a freshly brewed shot of Italian espresso and let it cool to room temp before adding it to the mixture.

As a sweetener, I use granulated sugar but use brown sugar or any low-calorie sweetener instead. And make your yogurt as sweet as you like; that’s the beauty of making your own.

Last but not least, a spoonful of fresh coffee grounds will give the coffee a nice texture. They kind of add a bit of flavor as well and don’t worry, they’re totally edible — they’re pure fiber!

How do you make frozen yogurt?

You’ll be surprised by how easy making store-bought quality frozen yogurt is. You mix everything together and freeze it.

The secret here is using a hand mixer or a stand mixture to add some air to the mix; that’s what will make the frozen treat creamy and smooth. This step is critical. Otherwise, you’ll end with rock-solid yogurt. You can’t spoon that!

How do you make frozen yogurt?

Unlike ice cream, frozen yogurt is a fantastic quick breakfast, and when infused with coffee, you get your caffeine fix in the same bowl.

Needless to say, frozen yogurt is also a nice evening snack and even a lazy dessert. Make a whole batch of it and enjoy it at all hours. Just don’t have it before going to bed, or you might have a hard time getting some sleep!
