I love making fancy coffee drinks at home. Coffee is my favorite beverage and I love to be creative while making my coffee. One of the reasons is that I really enjoy making coffee.
But another most important reason is that when I make coffee at home, not only it tastes amazing but it is also cheaper. When you think about drinking coffee from coffee shops on a regular basis, you’ll realize how expensive it can be.
On the other hand, when you make coffee at home, you’ll have all the control. You can replace the ingredients and you can also omit some ingredients if you want.
For me, there is no better combination than mint and chocolate. But in summers, this combination seems super AWESOME!
I love bringing uniqueness to my coffee routine. I also love to experiment with different flavors and styles of coffee making.
When its winter, I like to drink latte but when its summer, I still love to drink coffee but my recipes change from latte to frappes. But truth be told, this mint chocolate chip frappe is perfect for long summer days and cozy winter mornings alike.
Best of all, it’s easy to make even for total cooking beginners!
The recipe is quite simple and easy. There are no fancy ingredients involved so you won’t have to go out to buy the ingredients because I’m sure, everything is already in your kitchen cupboard. All the ingredients used in this recipe are affordable.
There are only a few ingredients that I used to make this breathtakingly delicious frappe. I used chilled double-strength coffee as the main ingredient.
If you’re not sure how to make double-strength coffee, simply mix 1 tbsp. of coffee with ¾ cup of water and that’s it.
Other ingredients include dark chocolate chips, sugar, milk, ice cubes, peppermint extract, and whipped cream. I love to keep ingredients simple and all-natural – it saves a ton of money and is also way better for you.
I used skim milk but you can use any type of milk you want. You can also replace the sugar with any other type of sweetener you want. However, if you prefer sugar free frappe, then you can also omit the sugar.
The best thing about this recipe is that you can be as creative as you want. You can remove any ingredient you want and replace it with something you love. I love the combo of coffee, peppermint, chocolate, and creamy flavors but have also done one where I switched the peppermint extract for all-natural cherry concentrate or caramel sauce. Experiment and try different versions, they all taste amazing.
