Today we use the term French vanilla ice cream to a unique kind of ice cream, perhaps made with egg yolks and authentic vanilla bean; the stuff is up there with the most decadent types of ice cream. So, if you’re planning to make this coffee, make sure you get the best vanilla ice cream you can get. The fanciest, the better.
Once you get your hands on the ice cream, the rest is easy. We’re using a freshly brewed espresso, whole milk, whipping cream and a maraschino cherry.
