To make a frosted coffee, you need a cup of Americano. I make mine in a pod coffee machine, but percolator, drip coffee or instant coffee will work fine. The better the coffee, the nicer the final result, but the star of the show is not the coffee but the ice cream.
For every cup of frosted coffee, you need two scoops of vanilla ice cream; that’s the secret. It might sound like much, but the ice cream melts nicely, blessing the coffee with the creamy mouthfeel and the loveliest vanilla flavor.
To make this nice drink, you only need to blend the ice cream with the coffee. The coffee’s warmth will melt the ice cream, so you don’t even need to worry about that.
