The frosted coffee became famous thanks to Chick-fil-A. After all, the name Frappuccino was already taken. So, what’s a frosted coffee, anyway?

A tasty cup of coffee with a whole lot of vanilla ice cream. A whipped cream dollop wraps it up for a decadent drink that’ll get you up in the morning no matter how late you go to bed.

A frosted coffee is a fantastic experience, but let me tell you something, you can make it at home! Yes, and it’s ridiculously easy. You’ll love it!

Homemade Frosted Coffee Recipe-2

How to make a frosted coffee?

To make a frosted coffee, you need a cup of Americano. I make mine in a pod coffee machine, but percolator, drip coffee or instant coffee will work fine. The better the coffee, the nicer the final result, but the star of the show is not the coffee but the ice cream.

For every cup of frosted coffee, you need two scoops of vanilla ice cream; that’s the secret. It might sound like much, but the ice cream melts nicely, blessing the coffee with the creamy mouthfeel and the loveliest vanilla flavor.

To make this nice drink, you only need to blend the ice cream with the coffee. The coffee’s warmth will melt the ice cream, so you don’t even need to worry about that.

Substitutes and variations

  • Fast and easy, drizzle your cup with chocolate syrup before pouring your frozen coffee; it looks nicer.

  • Now that you know that combining ice cream and coffee is easy, don’t just go vanilla. Use any ice cream, including coffee ice cream, but don’t stop there; go crazy!

  • Another fun variation to give your frosted coffee some personality includes adding chocolate chips, Oreo cookies or M&Ms. Everything goes!
