My father was a fervent cook and used a bit of alcohol in his recipes to extract the flavor out. We all loved his cooking. All my recipes are somehow inspired by my father or mother’s recipes that they made for me and my siblings in our childhood. I have modified this recipe according to my taste. But the main ingredients are surely inspired by my dad: bourbon and caramel. This recipe is giving me a massive nostalgia.
Nonetheless, I am presenting you with this super easy recipe of latte that you can readily prepare and enjoy. The decadent flavor will leave you wanting more. To make this iced bourbon salted caramel latte, you need only a few ingredients. I used caramel syrup for sweetness. You can use any store-bought caramel syrup. But if you are in the mood and you have time then you can make your own as well.
I used skim milk in this recipe but you can use any kind of milk you want. If you prefer, you can also use non-dairy milk. Salt is an important part of the recipe to give a contrasting taste to caramel sweetness.
Then comes the main ingredient: bourbon. You can never go wrong with a bit of bourbon in your coffee. It will give a unique taste to your latte. I think the only way to make coffee taste even better is to add bourbon. This recipe has all of my favorite ingredients. Surely all of you will love it too, as much as I do or maybe even more.
The Recipe is very easy to follow. Simply, pour coffee into a cup and add bourbon. Let them sit for a minute. This will infuse bourbon into the coffee perfectly. Now add milk and then pour some caramel syrup into the cup with a couple of pinches of salt. And there you have it. Delicious iced bourbon salted latte!
