Everyone I know like Oreo cookies without a question. What would be better than to have Oreo flavor and coffee combined? Even the mere idea sounds divine. Doesn’t it? I love this coffee flavor and I make it on weekends when I feel like treating myself with a luxurious cup of ultimate iced Oreo coffee. Plus it’s a great drink to beat off some summer heat any day of the week. So it’s a win-win situation for me. My whole family enjoys it. This iced coffee is a must whenever there is a family gathering.
As kids, my siblings and I loved Oreo shakes and Oreo cookies in general. We wanted to drink it every day if we could. As I started growing up and developed taste for coffee, one of the first recipes I tried on my own was Oreo coffee. This initial recipe went through some much-needed evolution to finally become the ultimate Oreo iced coffee. The recipe is near to my heart. I used to buy Oreo flavored frappe too in my college days but now I realize how expensive it was especially when I can make my own Oreo iced coffee in a budget-friendly way with all home-based materials.
To make this coffee, I used the Oreo cookie crumble, which I made myself by grinding Oreos. And also some whipped cream for topping. Regular chocolate and cream Oreos were used. There are multiple flavors of Oreos and you can use whichever you like. But I like the classic ones better. I prepared my mason jar beforehand with some ice cubes (coffee leftover ice cubes would be recommended). For the milk options, I opted for sweetened cashew milk. If that’s too fancy for you then just add simple milk with brown sugar as the sweetener. I often make the cashew milk myself. It is really easy.
For the recipe, first of all, I added milk to the coffee and blended both well. Then I mixed some bits and pieces of Oreo cookies into the coffee and poured it into a mason jar. I topped it all off with whipped cream and a generous amount of Oreo cookie crumble. Serve it with a freshly baked donut or enjoy it as it is. The taste is to die for! (Of course not literally).
Add sweetened milk to the coffee.
Then mix some bits and pieces of Oreo into the coffee.
Pour into the mason jar containing ice cubes.
Top it off with whipped cream and Oreo cookie crumble.
Voila! Now enjoy an indulging cup of Oreo iced coffee.
