Ultimate Pumpkin Spice Iced Coffee Recipe

One of my favorite pass time hobbies is to experiment with unique flavors of coffee. I am sharing this recipe to save you from drinking expensive coffee from cafes and shops. As soon as the season of pumpkin-spiced latte hits, everyone raves about their spiced lattes and coffee. Honestly, I do love their spiced lattes and they taste so good. But who needs them when you can make your coffee with budget-friendly home-based ingredients effortlessly?

So here I am presenting you with a super convenient, easy to make recipe of ultimate pumpkin spice iced coffee. Pumpkin is my favorite fruit and I am always trying new recipes with it. Recipes made with pumpkin are nostalgic for me because we used to make so many dishes by using pumpkin when I was younger. Especially the different kinds of drinks and desserts. Oof! I loved them. We had a backyard garden full of pumpkins and other seasonal fruits. My whole family is big on organics and kitchen gardening stuff so it is all quite self-explanatory.

Pumpkin is a healthy addition to our diets. It’s high on antioxidants plus it is packed with vitamins that will boost your immunity. I always make sure that my recipes are health-friendly so everyone can enjoy them just the same. For sweetener options, I had to think and experiment a bit so I could make sure which sweetener goes well with pumpkin. Finally, I opted for honey because honey, pumpkin, and coffee are just the perfect combination.

I added freshly made pumpkin sauce for that distinct fresh fruity flavor. It gives a strong frothy texture to the coffee. But you can also use store-bought sauces, purees or syrups. I used nutmeg and cinnamon to spice up the coffee. Other spices used were ginger and cardamom to give that extra kick to the flavor. Spices depend on how refined your palate is. Some people cannot stand the taste of these spices. You can always go for milder spices like ginger or cardamom as well. Nutmeg and cinnamon are on the stronger side of flavor. If you do use ginger, the dried ginger powder is recommended.

Like my other recipes, this recipe is also simple and takes little time to prepare. First of all, heat the milk and then add spices and pumpkin sauce. Stir for a couple of times and let it stand. Now add honey and coffee and blend, so all the ingredients incorporate well into each other. Pour into a glass with ice cubes and voila.
