If you want a berry-licious frozen treat that’s tasty and organic, make your own ice cream. No ice cream machine needed! You only need a hand mixer and a few bowls.
Let’s face it, store-bought strawberry ice cream tastes artificial, and it’s because there are no strawberries in there — at least most of the time. If you want natural strawberry ice cream, make your own with authentic, organic strawberries. Here’s all you need to know about this fun frozen treat.
Why Make Organic Strawberry Ice Cream?
Having ice cream in the freezer is the easiest way to have a sweet treat available, especially when it’s hot outside and you don’t want to leave the comfort of home.
Besides, making homemade ice cream allows you to use premium ingredients — rest assured, the big ice cream companies are not so committed to quality. Use organic strawberries and other fine ingredients, and you’ll end with a frozen treat of the highest quality. That’s a dessert to entertain your friends and family with a proud smile on your face.
Here’s all you need to make a pint of strawberry ice cream fast and easy. Of course, any type of berry will do!
What Goes Into Organic Strawberry Ice Cream?
To make strawberry ice cream, you’ll need ripe strawberries, the riper and sweeter, the better. Use raspberries, blueberries or any other berry you have in hand as long as they’re fresh and in season. You can also use frozen berries if you don’t have fresh ones in hand.
You’ll also need condensed milk for its sweetness and creamy mouthfeel and heavy whipping cream for its frothiness. Use extra sugar if the fruit is not sweet enough, and don’t forget to add a pinch of salt to bring it all together. Making homemade ice cream is easy and fun, and it will change the way you see the frozen treat forever.
