The coffee brewed with these devices is concentrated and strong, like an espresso shot. You can also brew drip coffee using the AeroPress, giving it more versatility than pump-style portable espresso makers.
French Presses
Travel French presses are basically a travel mug with a stainless steel filter plunger built into the lid. This is especially convenient for those who enjoy their coffee on the go because you just push the plunger down when you’re ready to drink it.
Travel Percolator
With most portable coffee makers, you’ll still need some way to heat the water. If that’s not an option, a travel percolator heats the water while it brews.
The disadvantage here is you’ll need some way to power the percolator. That said, their power use is relatively low, so you could run it easily from a portable power pack when there aren’t outlets available.

Both of these devices are innovative, portable espresso brewers. The Minipresso was the original device and made waves when it was released in 2014 for the quality of the espresso it brewed.
The Nanopresso is the updated version, released in 2017. It’s a bit smaller and can produce up to 18 bars of pressure, compared to the 16 of the Minipresso. That gives it a slight edge for both flavor and portability.
