If you cannot start your day without a hot cuppa of infused herbs but usually waste half your mornings brewing, then you are in a desperate need of a decent kettle.
Luckily for all the tea addicts out there, we’ve compiled this list just for you.
Presenting you the best of the best, these are the ultimate quick-boiling and mess-free glass tea kettles you can find on the market.
If you need your kettle with all the bells, but without the whistling part, then you cannot do better than this electric glass boiler. Made with high-quality borosilicate glass that is resistant to scuffing and scratches, this kettle offers a healthy way to brew your tea – no plastic parts anywhere on the inside.
Cosori can quickly heat up to 1.7 l (57.5 ounces) in 3-7 minutes, but the best part about it is perhaps the blue led light at the bottom that indicates when the kettle is in the process of boiling.
With its quick auto-shutoff function, a boil-dry feature that conceals the heating element when no water is detected on the inside, the 360-degree rotation for precise pouring, and its wide mouth for easy cleaning, it is no doubt why this kettle sits on the throne.
With 5 minutes to boil 1.5 l (50 oz) quietly, and with 6 different temperatures to set your optimal brew, we can all agree that this Hadineeon kettle is the true premium pick. The capacity here is over 8 cups, which makes this kettle perfect for large households.
Just like the previous one, this kettle also comes with a boil-dry feature, an auto-shutoff, and a 360-degree rotation. But the thing that really sets this one apart is its keep-warm function. Turn it on, and your water will stay hot or warm for up to 4 hours.
If you want durability and function without breaking the bank, then our best value will be perfect for you. This stain-resistant, borosilicate-glass kettle can boil a full pot in 7 minutes, which is about half the time a stovetop kettle needs.
Plus, you will never have to worry about safety. This kettle will not only shut off when the boiling temperature is achieved, but it will also turn off the heating when there is no water inside. Combine that with its eco-friendly materials, and you can see why this Ovente kettle is a great addition to your kitchen.
At a maximum capacity of over 7 cups, this kettle will boil your water in just five to six minutes. Its blue LED halo will indicate that the kettle is working, and once it reaches the boiling temperature, it will automatically turn off.
Just like with the previous kettles, this one also works by producing heat when water is detected at the base.
The handle is heat-resistant and anti-slip, and with its 360-degree rotating body, convenient and safe pouring is guaranteed!
But that’s not all. This kettle also comes with a mesh filter that can be removed.
If you want a glass kettle, but also love the charm that the whistling of traditional kettles brings, we’ve found you a winner.
The Café Brew kettle doesn’t include any fancy features since it is for stovetop use only, but its quality borosilicate glass and the fact that it can be washed in the dishwasher (upper rack only) surely make up for it.
The downside is that you need to take the top off to pour, but you will barely mind the extra hassle as it is super easy to do so.
Safe to use on gas ranges, electrical, and glass cook-tops!
This kettle shows that Swiss quality is hard to beat. Borosilicate glass and stainless steel combined for an anti-scratching, anti-scalding durable pot that allows the purest taste. Absolutely no plastic parts touch the water.

But don’t let its small body fool you, as this kettle brings tons of features. Thanks to the 1500 watts, this electric boiler will have your tea water ready in no time. Once the temperature is achieved, the kettle automatically turns off, and thanks to its boil-dry safety, the heating element will never work unless there’s water inside.
The handle is cool to touch, and thanks to the push-down lid and convenient spout, pouring will be a breeze.
Although technically not a kettle, we are so in love with this glass teapot with an infuser that we just had to give it a spot on this list. Crafted by hand, designed with an ergonomic handle, and made with a non-dripping spout, this will be your loose tea’s best friend for years to come.
The infuser is made with quality 18/10 stainless steel and can be removed and washed. But that’s not all. Even though it is a teapot, you can also use this on the stovetop or microwave at medium heat.
Plus, it is dishwasher-safe. Can you really find something not to love about it?
Another teapot we’re crazy about! Although this one is only safe for microwave-use, it is still one of the best you will find. If you don’t need more than 3 to 4 cups of tea, and you’re a fan of loose leaf tea, then we warmly recommend this teapot.
The removable and rust-free 18/8 filter ensures the best and healthy taste, and its spill-free spout will make sure that no mess will be made on your counter.
Ergonomic, comfortable, and super functional, this one is a real keeper.
The HadiEEOn kettle’s body is scratch-resistant borosilicate glass while its base and lid are made with food-grade 304 stainless steel. With only 5-7 minutes of boiling time, you can have 7 cups of boiling water quickly.
Thanks to its boil-dry protection and automatic shut-off function, you will never have to worry about catching fire or any other safety issues.
Durability, function, and aesthetics have clearly joined their forces in this fantastic electric kettle!
Whether electric, stovetop, or microwave-safe, there are a lot of reasons why you should decide on a glass tea kettle.
It is see-through. The thing that separates glass kettles from your grandma’s traditional whistler, it is the fact that they offer visibility. You will not only watch the water boil (cool, huh!?), but you can always tell just how much hot water there is left.
Easier to clean. Thanks to the smooth surface of the glass, these kettles are easier to clean.
Will not rust. Unlike metal kettles, you will never have a rust issue with your glass boiler.
Boiling water in a glass tea kettle is a rather straightforward process. You just press the button (or place it on the stove or microwave), and when ready, you pour the water over your tea bag (or infuser). But, if you have decided on a glass teapot, you may be a little bit confused.
Don’t worry, though, because the process is actually just as simple.
If your teapot is stovetop or microwave safe, then the process is easy – you just fill the pot with water and bring it to a boil. Then you add your leaves to the infuser and lock it into the pot. Leave it to steep for a few minutes, and enjoy!
If your teapot is not made for brewing, then you have to add the leaf-packed infuser to the pot first, and then pour hot water over. You allow it to sit for a few minutes and then simply enjoy it!
Be careful, though, as not all teapots are made of durable glass. If you’re afraid that the glass might break, you need to make sure not to make huge changes in temperature. For that reason, we strongly recommend pouring warm water to the pot first to increase its temperature a bit. Then you discard that water, add the infuser, and pour hot water over.
Stainless Steel Kettles
Most people decide on these kettles because of their sturdy and durable design. They will not compromise the taste of the water, nor will they need long to brew. However, they can be slightly harder to maintain than glass ones. Plus, they are opaque, so you will never know how much water there’s left.
Plastic kettles are the least expensive ones. They are lightweight, so pouring is always easy. However, we don’t recommend them as they can release odors that might make your water taste bad. Plus, plastic parts can be hazardous when in contact with boiling water. Lastly, they will never look stylish.
Glass kettles will bring the most elegant look to your kitchen. We’ve talked about their see-through and easy-to-clean body, and all in all, we clearly route for them. However, keep in mind that glass kettles are the heaviest of all, and not to mention the most fragile. Handle with care!
Regular maintenance doesn’t require more than warm soapy water and a soft sponge. However, when the need for removing persistent stains arises, you have two safe and chemical-free options – vinegar and lemon juice.
Vinegar – Fill your kettle with two parts of water and one part of white vinegar. Let sit for an hour, and then bring it to a boil. Throw out the water, and clean your kettle as you normally do to get rid of the vinegary smell.
Lemon Juice – Fill your kettle with clean water, and add the juice of two large lemons. Bring the mixture to a boil, and let the acidity from the lemons destroy the limescale. For best results, let this mixture rest for a couple of hours. Then, simply clean your kettle with warm soapy water, and voila! Shiny and new!
We hope that our selection of glass kettles has helped you find the perfect match for your beloved tea. Whatever your choice is, the important thing is to handle it with care and clean regularly, and a lasting relationship is guaranteed! Happy brewing!
