Boiling water in a glass tea kettle is a rather straightforward process. You just press the button (or place it on the stove or microwave), and when ready, you pour the water over your tea bag (or infuser). But, if you have decided on a glass teapot, you may be a little bit confused.
Don’t worry, though, because the process is actually just as simple.
If your teapot is stovetop or microwave safe, then the process is easy – you just fill the pot with water and bring it to a boil. Then you add your leaves to the infuser and lock it into the pot. Leave it to steep for a few minutes, and enjoy!
If your teapot is not made for brewing, then you have to add the leaf-packed infuser to the pot first, and then pour hot water over. You allow it to sit for a few minutes and then simply enjoy it!

Regular maintenance doesn’t require more than warm soapy water and a soft sponge. However, when the need for removing persistent stains arises, you have two safe and chemical-free options – vinegar and lemon juice.
Vinegar – Fill your kettle with two parts of water and one part of white vinegar. Let sit for an hour, and then bring it to a boil. Throw out the water, and clean your kettle as you normally do to get rid of the vinegary smell.
Lemon Juice – Fill your kettle with clean water, and add the juice of two large lemons. Bring the mixture to a boil, and let the acidity from the lemons destroy the limescale. For best results, let this mixture rest for a couple of hours. Then, simply clean your kettle with warm soapy water, and voila! Shiny and new!
